About Hired Teens

Hired Teens was created by New York City high school student Lucas Nickelsburg after seeing how hard it was to find a summer job in New York City. Other online job boards don't cater to teenagers, and they don't usually have information about internships. NYC's government-run Summer Youth Employment Program helps connect students with some employers (you can apply for it here), but it only has enough slots for 20% of NYC teenagers and mainly operates only during the summer. Hired Teens aims to serve the other 80% by connecting teenagers directly with job and internship opportunities in the summer and in the school year.
